Nigel Cassidy

Nigel joined RWM in the late 1970’s and created the stations’ first local news programme Wednesday Buzz. After leaving the station, Nigel joined the BBC in 1984 as a reporter and producer for local radio, and since 1990 he has been covering business news for  a wide variety of programmes including Radio 4’s Today programme, Radio 5’s Newstalk and most recently a business reporter for BBC News 24He also created Radio 4’s The Board Game and Shelf Lives.

Sanjeev Bhaskar

A fomer presenter of RWM’s Showtime, Sanjeev first came to widespread public attention when he starred in the ensemble BBC comedy sketch show, Goodness Gracious Me. Sanjeev followed up this success with his solo t.v venteure, The Kumars at No. 42. He wrote the show and played the role of Sanjeev Kumar, who tries to host and broadcast a celebrity chat show form his parents’ living room. Keen to star on the big screen as well as write for it, Sanjeev can also be seen in Anita and Me, The Guru, Notting Hill, Paddington 2 and Yesterday to name just a few! Sanjeev also appeared and helped write several of RWM’s pantos too!

Nicky Slater

Nicky co-presented RWM’s childrens show Junior Requests for several years. As a former ice dancing national champion he competed in two Olympic games and is ranked top five in the world. He’s had a varied career too appearing on everything from The Sooty Show to Cilla’s Surprise Surprise! He’s a resident judge on ITV’s Dancing On Ice and frequently on national tour with the show. Since hanging up his skates, Nicky has moved into commentating with Eurosport.

Simon Ross

Simon presented RWM’s popular Wednesday Bingo programme. After leaving RWM in the late nineties, Simon settled into commercial radio and can be heard currently presenting the and most recently the afternoon show on Oxfordshire’s Heart 102.6FM.

Martin Fletcher

During his stint on Freetime with Radio West Middlesex, Martin worked for a local Ealing newspaper but now is a journalist turned celebrity. Martin’s dulcet tones were once heard reading the news on SW London’s Radio Jackie.

Howard Taylor

Howard presented many programmes during his time with RWM in the late 1970’s, including Showtime and Sounds Like Country. Howard’s career has included being a BT engineer, police officer and leisure centre entertainments manager! He’s presented the breakfast show on GWR in Bristol and Swindon for over 10 years, Wiltshire’s Heart drivetime show and most recently the breakfast show on Swindon 105.5FM.
